The term technology casts a very wide net in terms of companies. It can vary from hardware, software, Big Data, chip manufacturers, widgets, algorithms, etc.

Our process is to take a step back and look at each type of technology in a very specific manner.  We ask questions that really help quantify each unique opportunity, such as; is it a product or service or methodology/algorithm – is it consumer focused – is it for large enterprise – is it an enabling technology.  After we have categorized the opportunity we look at the strength of management including backgrounds, prior successes, capital invested and core competencies.  Then the common question posed is “is this a disruptive technology” or is it an “enabling technology”?

The principals at Bridgewater have vast experience through practical capital markets interactions, deal pitch creation and deal advisory.  We also utilize some very strong players in a number of different areas of expertise that we draw on to help with the client mandate and experience.  We have curated these relationships over the last 2 decades and are able to access a much deeper “rolodex” of contacts.
